Gifted Student Opporunties
The Community Advisory Committee for Gifted Education (CAC) will have a vacancy for an At-large zone representative in the fall of 2017. This position can be filled by the parent of an identified gifted student currently enrolled in Virginia Beach City Public Schools regardless of high school zone. Please consider this opportunity. Contact the Office of Gifted Programs at 263-1188 and we will provide the nomination form to you. Applicants are encouraged to attend future meetings of the committee (a list of meetings and information about the work of the committee is available at http://www.vbschools.com/curriculum/gifted/cac.asp).
YoungArts Competition allows students interested in pursuing a professional career in the arts intensive training and college scholarships. Application deadline is 10/14. The program is open to any student between 15-18 years old.
William and Mary Saturday Enrichment Programs are open to students in grades K-11.
The University of Virginia Summer Enrichment Program is open to students in grades 4-10. This summer residential program offers wonderful enrichment opportunities. Financial aid is available for qualified students.
