Recent News and Congratulations
AP Night is scheduled for Wednesday, February 17. Guests will have an opportunity to learn about the AP program, meet AP teachers, and gain insight on how to interpret PSAT scores to identify potential success in AP classes. Additionally, I will present a college-planning workshop for parents of gifted children. More details are coming, please make plans to attend.
Academic Awards night was held November 23. Congratulations to the 465 Chiefs who were recognized for their achievements in the 14-15 school year! If you didn't pick up your star or letter, see Mrs. Marzitello in room 105.
Congratulations to Samantha P. for being one of eight regional female-athletes chosen to be recognized by the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Student-Athlete Program.
Congratulations to Maya A. and Sam P. for being named to the 2015 Homecoming court.
Gifted Student Opporunties
The Virginian-Pilot is accepting applications for students to participate in a summer journalism workshop. Applications must be post-marked no later than Friday, March 25. The program is open to current sophomores and juniors.
The University of Virginia Summer Enrichment Program is open to students in grades 4-10. This summer residential program offers wonderful enrichment opportunities. Financial aid is available for qualified students.
Focusing on the Future is a program for student and parents at the Center for Gifted Education at William and Mary College. Programs focus on education and career planning.
